I do not know whether it is turning for the worst, except that Arc seems to be going to power up seriously. 

The turning of the tide in the war and the quick escalation into strategy battle sure comes quick. Arc and his strategy and his enemies that are more powerful than he is. 

The author either try to bring an end to the war arc quickly or give another major boost of power to Arc is up in the air right now. Retta is steadily getting his own power up and an increase in his harem. 

The new introduction to another power for the struggle for the Dragon King status is coming out quick. Adding more players to fuel the fire sure is a good way to stretch the story further and thicken the plot. Just like the new demon girl that got introduced.

Definitely looking forward to what's going to happen next.
